|
here are several reports on Quadricepsplasty by Thompson (1944)
Judet (1959W) , van Nes (1962) , Nicoll (1963) and Hesketh (1963) .
Quadricepsplasty was administered for 5 cases of extraarticular stiff knee who had been tse.-ated in 1st Army Hospital. the Republic of Korea Army. All of them were hospitalized there due to femoral fracture. One of them was complicated with chronic osteomyelitis. The time spent between the injury and the Quadricepsplasty -:vas 10 months in an average. The preoperative total range of joint motion was 150 in an average. The result was excellent in each case. The average gain of flexion was 78 degrees, and extention lag was 8 degrees.
